GLBT networks in banks in India

A reader has brought to my attention one of the leader articles in last week's Economist magazine, which contains the following sentence:
One investment bank, for example, is extending its lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender network to its Indian operations over the opposition of its local boss.
Does anyone know which bank that sentence refers to? If so, perhaps they can either leave a comment or send me an email?

Investment bank? That's a figment of your imagination. ;)

Commercial bank you mean... :)

Well I'm quoting the Economist Magazine, anonymous, whoever you are. Anyway, it's most likely the investment banking division of a commercial bank, and presumably one with a significant network in India otherwise it wouldn't be worthwhile!

I'm not sure of "my" bank's involvement in India. I'll check.

I regularly see parties from overseas here, visiting headquarters, but I can't remember thinking "these people must be from India" before.

Actually I also thought that RBS might have been the bank, given that they're presumably changing things around at the moment with their ABN merger. But when I asked a friend who worked there, it seemed that no one knew anything about it, so I guess it's not them.

Yes Rebel, I guess I was just slow on the uptake there!

All information welcome SubtleKnife, including information that allows banks to be eliminated from the short list!

Have you managed to spill the beans on this yet? There's nothing on wikipedia but I'm thinking it may be DB since the Germans have modern approaches.

i'd think i may be Deutsche Bank. I know they have a large internal LGBT network and are quite forward with it and apparently were planning to push it beyong europe.
