Dear Readers,
I started this blog in 2005, and writing here has been great fun over the years :-). However, at the moment I'm finding it difficult to make the time for this blog, even though I've only been posting once a month. So for now at least, I'm not going to be doing any more postings. However, I'm still going to keep my domain name gaybanker.com, so for the foreseeable future I should still be contactable by email.
Hugs and kisses to everyone!

Feels like a lot of my favorite bloggers are also retiring! Great run and thoroughly enjoyed your posts. Cheers!
Sorry to learn of this, but wish you all the best for the future :)
Hey GB - its with sadness and amazement to see this retirement piece. Its been very instrumental in my journey as a gay man facing a lot of challenges. I first saw your blog early year and read every article like my life depended on it. I agreed with you, I disagreed with you, you made my laugh, you made me question myself and ultimately accept myself. You made observations made me think - you were informative. All the very best in the future. You are a great guy.
I have enjoyed reading it, and also been enlightened by it.
Best of luck for the future.
Sorry to hear. I really enjoy your blog.
oh no :(
maybe you shouldn't pressurise yourself to write a post once a month ... maybe you would find it more enjoyable just to do it whenever you felt like it ??
see you soon :)
I've just visited for my monthly dose, and I found this retirement piece!
I have enjoyed reading your pieces in the past, and given that I am an aspiring banker, they give me hopes that it is possible to be a happy gay banker. Whatever you've decided to do from now on, I wish you all the very best.
Your blog was very important in my life, especially during the time when I was based in the UK from 2001 to 2009. I still remember that feeling: Coming out of my closet as a young Chinese gay man, making sense of the surrounding, going to the LYC in Trafalgar sq from time to time, reading your experience with different men, hearing your logic and thinking and compared it to mine - it made you so close, yet so far away. I did fantasising the idea of meeting you one day.
In the last few years, the need of reading your blog fade away; I got my own life and men to deal with. I keep thinking of your blog in the last few months, but then I didn't have the motivation to do it. Sad to see you stop updating, but good luck and fair well. You always have a place in my heart.
