A couple of holiday pics
As I said last week, I'm now on holiday with Boyfriend T. We spent three days in a city, where the two photographs below were taken, and then yesterday we hired a car and drove out to stay at a hotel in the countryside. So can anyone work out the name of the city where the two photographs were taken?

I'm pretty sure it's Rome, but only because I recognized the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II in the background.

Mh, but the building which is partly covered has to be the monument I mentioned. Even wikipedia says that there's renovation work right now.

Rome, of course, with VERDI monument in background. Great photograph; enlarges beautifully. Statue must be in Vatican Museum--hundreds of nudes there--covered with dust!
I would have guessed Rome, having been there only once (for a day).
...and I'd be gagging all day from all that dust on my tongue.
Sorry, TSP, it's not Firenze but Rome, as correctly identified by the rest of the commentators. But top marks go to Cody in CT because that nude statue is indeed from the Vatican museum :-). After all the fun that myself and T had in the Louvre, I couldn't resist taking that pic!
