On holiday again

I'm now on holiday with my sister and her family. Back in the spring, my nephew (who now has a girlfriend) suggested that should all take a holiday together like we used to when he was much younger. The last time that we had a family holiday like that was back in 2005, and all of us always enjoyed it, so we decided to try doing it again :-). Even before I split up with Ex-boyfriend T, he was dubious about whether he'd be able to come along with us due to all his other commitments. However, my family were keen to invite ex-boyfriend S to come along, because we were boyfriends for such a long time that they all regard him as part of the family. Luckily he was available, and so we've all ended up coming away on holiday together again. Below are a couple of pics from the area where we're staying. Does anyone want to guess where we are?

Judging by the architecture I'd say somewhere in central Italy. Not as far as Rome but further that Florence... Siena, perhaps?

PS total lie about architecture. Just googled "ristorante al mangia" and a picture popped up :)

Do you still consider the 'EX' to be part of your family?

You had the right country, Immanuel, but not the right City. Kenski obviously worked it out, but for some reason was too coy to name the actual place. However, Mathijsho2 is quite right, the second photo was taken in Siena :-). I'd never visited at this time of year before, i.e. the week when one of the Palio races happen, and if you look at the pic you can see the sand on the ground ready for the race. In fact the first pic was taken in the nearby town of San Gimignano.

Regarding your question about ex-boyfriend S, Mind Of Mine, I do kind of regard him as part of my family these days, like some sort of brother. We were together from 1989 to 2008, so the rest of my family all know him very well. So it might be a problem if I ended up with a boyfriend who didn't like ex-boyfriend S, or vice versa.

Siena has awesome Italian pizzas! I hope you got a chance to try some. None of those fake stuff they sell in UK (apart from some really good establishments... but that's a rarity).
